New Version

(And yes, Forge now has Postmortem Lunge.)

Another great months equals another great version of Forge.  Forge now clocks in with 8,131 cards.  This means that there are 385 new cards, which is insane in the membrane.  There are 117 cards from the New Phyrexia.  There are also a bunch of new white "prevent damage" spells which are always fun to use.

05-31 was the date that this version of Forge was first posted on the forums.  Many thanks to the faithful developers :*)

Link - Forge 05-31 (Windows, Linux) 13 MB

Link - Forge 05-31 (Mac) 8 MB - Use Keka to uncompress 7z files

Link - Quest Opponent Icons - 1 MB - The Mac version needs these pictures, put them in /forge/res/icons/ directory

Download - Card Pictures (160 MB)
These are most of the low-quality (LQ) card pictures.  You can download the rest of the LQ card pictures or the high-quality (HQ) card pictures using the menu on the New Game screen.

Java - in case you need to update or download Java

If you have any questions/comments, please post them to the forum.

Love the improvements to draft. One minor complaint: I'd prefer to draft old sets in the original order (say, ODY/TOR/JUD) rather than the new order, and at the moment that isn't an option. Seems like it would be an easy change...

Anyway, keep up the good work! Love how awesome Forge is.

There's just so many cards which just don't work or do not do what they should do-- Why is that? Don't you test cards before adding them?

Forge said...

Forge has a huge number of cards but some of them are buggy. Maybe we can come up with some way that shows which cards are buggy and which ones are bug-free.

The devs are doing their best to advance this project forward and every release comes with a number of bug fixes which are listed in the change file. Some people might fail to read this doc.

There is a group of good people on the forge forum who do a great job of testing. And they provide detailed reports on the bugs that they find. These detailed reports help the dev team to find and to fix as many bugs as is possible.

Please note that some bugs are harder to fix than others. And some bug reports provide little if any useful information in reference to specific bugs.

Installed Forge on my MacBook Pro - the program runs fine by itself but for some reason I can't get the images to load. I have tried downloading from the "Download Card LQ Pictures" and "Download Card Set LQ Pictures" options on the Menu, as well as the link posted here. For some reason the images just don't display, even though the program is telling me that "all card pictures have been downloaded."

Would really love to use this tool but the absence of card images is really limiting me. Any tips?

You may want to visit the Forge Forum which is part of the CCGH web site. The people at this forum may be able to help you with this issue.

Hi. Nice work as always :) Thanks for all the effort. I am having quite a bit of a problem downloading the pictures via MediaFire. It says on the page to complete the form in order to download with authorization. However no form loads up and the download page just kept on looping. I also signed up on MediaFire but still to no avail. Is there a work around to this or is there an alternate download page?
